Instantly Win A Jellycat Bundle #2 is an instant-win competition: certain ticket numbers carry a prize, and those numbers are shown on the competition page from the moment it opens. What makes it fair is simple: you can’t choose or guess which ticket number you’ll get. It’s given to you at random when you buy, so no one can go after a winning ticket.
Two things make that true, and you can check both below:
- The list of which number wins which prize was fixed before any ticket sold, and shown openly the whole time, so it can’t be changed.
- Your ticket number is handed out at random, so nobody can line up to win.
How ticket numbers are assigned
On this competition you don’t choose your ticket number, and it isn’t simply the next number in order. When you buy, the system gives you a number using a secret shuffle that was set when the competition opened, before anyone had bought a ticket, and can’t be changed after.
Because that shuffle is secret and gives everyone a different number:
- Two people can never end up with the same number.
- Nobody, not you and not us, can guess or aim for a number in advance, so no one can go after a winning ticket. The prizes are shown openly against each number; the thing that’s random is which number you’re given.
- Your number is fixed the instant you buy, and recorded straight away.
We keep the shuffle secret so no one can work out in advance which number a purchase will get, which is what stops anyone targeting a winning ticket. Every number that’s given out still appears in the competition’s entrants list, so the numbers in play are public and can’t be quietly changed later.

Prove the shuffle yourself
When the competition opened we published a fingerprint of the secret shuffle key, so it’s on record as fixed before anyone bought:

First check the key matches the fingerprint published at open, then re-run the shuffle for yourself: feed each position 1, 2, 3… through it and you get the 2,520 ticket numbers in the pool, each exactly once. If it matches the fingerprint and produces a complete set with no repeats, the numbers were genuine and untouched.

Matches the opening commitmentThis is the full list of which prize sits on which ticket. It was fixed when the competition opened, before any ticket sold, and shown on the competition page the whole time, so a prize can’t be quietly moved onto or off a ticket. 140 prize tickets in total · 21 won.

When the competition opened we took a fingerprint of the exact list: a SHA-256 code that changes completely if even one entry is altered. If the fingerprint from then still matches the list now, nothing has moved.

A secret salt was mixed into the fingerprint when the competition opened, so nobody could work backwards from the published code to the winning squares while the map could still be played. It is revealed now so you can reproduce the fingerprint yourself.
